We made the trip up to Canada again for a UKC dog show hosted by the Maple Leaf Kennel Club. This time it was in Georgetown, ON.
Right out of the gate on Saturday morning Beau won the Champions class for the final win needed for his Grand Champion title. He went on to win Best of Breed and a Group 1 under Judge Diane Raymond.
In the afternoon he again won Best of Breed and then went on for a Group 3 placement under Judge Al Orwin.
On Sunday Beau won the Breed then placed 2nd in the Herding Group under Judge Debbi Orwin.
It was a LONG weekend of driving (1 hour at the border headed up, 2 on the way home), but worth every minute. I even got a lot of good listening time for my podiobooks.
I’m so very proud of my “old man.” He got his Grand Champion at 7 years and 20 days.
