This weekend Beau and I made a LONG drive up to the Toronto area for a dog show hosted by the Maple Leaf Kennel Club. We got to see some other Catahoulas, visit with some very awesome people (Thank you Sandy and Denise, and also Yuko, Rose, and Lacey for opening your home to two weary travellers), and show. Beau got to see his breeder for the first time in a little over six years and saw his almost-full-sister Turtle make her show debut.
Other Catahoulas we saw were: Kohl, Doublé, Pheonix, Chase, Luziene, Voo Doo, and BT. I also stopped in the Detroit area on my way home to visit with a friend. It was definitely Time Well Wasted.
How Beau the Dog did this weekend:
- Saturday, under Judge Gregory Storms: Reserve Champion (Class of 4 dogs)
-
Sunday, under Judge Maude Tank: Champion of Champions (Class of 4 dogs), giving him his 4th of the 5 legs needed for his Grand Champion title, Best of Breed (earning him another 6 Top Ten points for a grand total of 18), and Group 3 of 3 breeds.
