A small request: The patterns are free, but if you’d like to see more, please support this site by visiting the Online Store or click the “Make a Donation” button at the top right of every page.
More patterns are coming soon!
The Patterns have been used to outfit dogs, hikers, assistance/therapy dogs, SAR teams, and US Military around the world.
Here are some notes on making the items here.
Many of the materials needed to make these items are available from dogbooties.com. I’m not getting anything from them for sending you there, but I do like them as their prices are excellent and the service is great. Not to mention they have the stuff you need.
Otherwise, check local fabric stores, hardware stores and anywhere else you might think to look (especially for poly rope- or you can get that from a mushing supply company). A few places are listed in with the links.
If you DO make something listed here, let me know. Either leave feedback or e-mail me. I especially would like to see pictures of the gear in the field.
If you are interested in seeing some other sites with gear patterns, check these out:
Many of these (and my own patterns) would be excellent Scout, 4-H or similar projects.
