Since today is Earth Day I thought I’d share some more eco-friendly stuff:
Ruff Wear has a line of eco-sensitive dog equipment.
Aquamarine Power’s Oyster is a possible future form of harnessing energy from ocean wave action. (Courtesy DVICE).
Make Magazine gives us the User’s Manifesto/Maker’s Bill of Rights.
Knit One, Crochet Too makes Second Time Cotton “a blend of new recycled cotton from the garment industry, and acrylic.”
Stonehenge Fiber Mill makes Shepherd’s Wool, a really nice, soft mernio wool for knit and crochet. Occasionally they have a really cool color mix of mill ends, which reduces waste!
Carbon Motors is a startup automobile manufacturer which makes fuel-efficient purpose-built vehicles for law enforcement. Their cars are recyclable at the end of their life.
Odwalla sponsors the PlantATree program which aids state park systems across the country to plant more trees in their parks. Indiana is involved in this program this year. Odwalla is committed to environmental sustainability and, as such, is working to reduce the amount of waste produced by their facilities. One such way is through the use of natural gas fuel cell technology in one of their plants.
This is the PlantATree video submission for the Indiana State Park system:
