2006 was an eventful year. Beau picked up his third Best in Multi Breed Show, his first Reserve Best in Show, his first Top Ten Points, the first four of his five Grand Champion legs, three Group 2 placements, five Group 3 placements, two Group 4 placements, and finished out the year ranked as the #2 UKC Catahoula (he was #1 from January to November). He also finished his Back Pack Grand Master title and started work on another set of backpacking titles.
My brother at TikkiWeb.com redesigned my site to make it easier for me to update and for you to navigate.
I had a big job interview in Chicagoland, didn’t get the job right away (they sent a letter), but they called back over the holiday to see if I was still interested in the position. Since I was recently promoted at my current job, I turned them down.
I have made a few New Year’s resolutions, some will probably not make it to February, but at least if I state them publicly I have a shot:
-
Grow 4 inches taller
-
Get in better shape (nice and vague)
-
Reduce my environmental footprint (including NO FOAM COFEE CUPS)
-
Get a better handle on my finances
-
Add more content to the website
I figure the first one is as likely to happen as the other three, but I’m going to give them all a shot. I do have to attempt the pack test for my USFS Red Card certification again in April, so that helps me with the second. The last one is for all of the loyal readers– you’re the ones (well, besides my brother who set this all up for me) who keep me going. I promise to get some trip reports and at least one guide up this year. It might be slow going, but I will do it.
So, wish me luck. I’ll keep you updated.
