Maplewood Nature Center and Nature Preserve Loops from .5 miles to 1.5 miles. 1-2 hours. Easy Natural LaGrange County Parks and Recreation 260.463.4022 Foot path only. Horses and all vehicles must stay in parking area. Parking along road for 4-5 cars, plus 15 more cars inside the gates when the nature center is open. Water and restrooms available in the nature center. Maps are available outside the nature center. XC ski rental in winter. Seasonal wetlands make some areas muddy during parts of the year. Some parts of the trail need to be reblazed, but it’s still not difficult to follow. Home to a newly restored wetlands and the Maple Sugar Days living history festival the third weekend in March.

NE corner of the state
Olin Lake Nature Preserve 1.8 mile loop. 1-2 hours. Easy Natural Indiana Department of Natural Resources Foot path only. Horses and all vehicles must stay in parking area. Parking lot for about a dozen cars. No restrooms or water sources. Maps are available in the registry box. Situated on the south side of the largest undeveloped lake in the state. A small path will lead down from the main trail to the lake.
